Comedy Records presents
The Blackest Panther
By Arthur Simeon
Second Stand Up Comedy Album
Arthur Simeon, a Ugandan-born Toronto-based comedian, will release his sophomore stand up album The Blackest Panther on Friday, February 21, 2020 on Comedy Records.
Hero. Legend. King, Arthur Simeon has seen Black Panther nine times. And throughout this stand-up comedy album he expertly describes just how many times he saw the movie shirtless. Arthur is a true storyteller who weaves unforgettable tales about representation and microwaves, dating apps and Canadian girls, and how his family shielded him from allergens – not to save his life, but to save some money.
Arthur Simeon, a banana bread connoisseur and lover of slow jams, has been performing for a decade all over the world. Known for his storytelling and charm, Arthur has been invited to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival six times and appeared on CBC Television, HBO and the Comedy Network. His unique comedic voice and perspective has seen him featured in the Globe & Mail, NOW Magazine and the Toronto Star. He’s also a regular on CBC Radio’s Laugh Out Loud and The Debaters.
Comedy Records is Canada’s first record label dedicated to releasing stand up and sketch comedy albums. Established in Toronto in 2010, the label has produced several releases, which have reached the top of the iTunes Comedy and Google Play charts and been featured on Conan and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
