One Hour Comedy Special

Premieres July 29, 2022 on Crave

Juno Award winning comedian Dave Merheje is proud to announce his new comedy special I Love You Habibi will premiere Friday, July 29, 2022 on Crave. Filmed in front of a live audience during the 2021 Just For Laughs Festival in Montréal, I Love You Habibi is a unique Crave Original special focused on family and therapy.

In this stand up comedy special, Dave Merheje talks about growing up in Windsor with his Lebanese family, and going to therapy in a culture that really doesn’t do that. I Love You Habibi is a love letter to family and home featuring Dave Merheje’s signature stand up style with a backdrop of the Ambassador Bridge, and interviews with his parents and siblings.

Dave Merheje co-stars alongside Daisy Ridley in the upcoming feature Sometimes I Think About Dying, directed by Rachel Lambert. Dave also plays the recurring role of Ahmed on the award winning comedy series Ramy on Hulu. As a stand up, Dave has made multiple appearances at Just For Laughs Festival, JFL42, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and he tours regularly. In 2018 Dave released Good Friend Bad Grammar, which won the 2019 Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year. His comedy special Beautifully Manic can be seen on Netflix as part of Comedians of the World.
